Lindsay Lohan "very hurt and disappointed" by a joke in new Mean Girls movie

Lindsay Lohan was left "disappointed" by a joke that features in the new Mean Girls movie.
A representative for the actress, who portrayed Cady Heron in the original 2004 movie, confirmed that Lohan had a strong reaction to a joke in the film that mentions "fire crotch".
"Lindsay was very hurt and disappointed by the reference in the film," they told People.

The fire crotch reference is made by artist Megan Thee Stallion, who penned a song for the official Mean Girls film soundtrack and additionally makes a brief cameo in the new movie.
Appearing in a social media montage reacting to the Jingle Bell Rock Christmas talent show and the outfit worn by Cady Heron (played by Angourie Rice), the rapper states "Y2K fire crotch is back."
The phrase originated from a 2006 paparazzi video where Ashley Benson's now-husband Brandon Davis called Lohan a "fire crotch".
Digital Spy has reached out to Paramount for comment.

In a totally "fetch" moment, Mean Girls audiences see Lindsay Lohan make a surprise cameo in the new movie.
Lohan pops up to host the Mathletes State Championship Finals, attended by Miss Norbury, Cady, Kevin G and the rest of the North Shore High School Mathletes club.
Tina Fey, who wrote, produced and starred in both films, said that of all the original cast members to make a return, Lohan was top of her list.

"I felt like if I could only get one person as a surprise, the original movie is really Lindsay's movie," she told Entertainment Weekly. "As great as they all are, she's the heart of that movie.
"I didn't think [she should] play a teacher," she added. "I was trying to think of something that you wouldn't expect. And just to have her do that late in the movie, it also feels like it comes, I hope, at a time where fans weren't expecting one more little surprise.
"It also lets her be smart, which Cady is."
Mean Girls is released in the UK tomorrow (January 17), and is already out in US cinemas.
