Lord Sugar tells US Apprentice counterpart Donald Trump 'you're fired' after election loss
Lord Alan Sugar took aim at outgoing US president and one-time Apprentice counterpart Donald Trump as he tweeted to tell him “You’re fired”.
The entrepreneurial entertainment show has seen both Sugar and Trump use the famous catchphrase when dismissing candidates, and Sugar couldn’t miss the opportunity to use the riposte as his rival lost out in the presidential election to President-elect Joe Biden.

The bitter presidential race eventually reached a conclusion on Saturday when Philadelphia ballots were all counted to take Biden past the needed 270 electoral college votes.
Subsequently, Biden will replace Trump, becoming the 46th US president when he is inaugurated in January - and UK Apprentice star Sugar couldn’t help but rub it in.
Tweeting several hours after the news had broken, Lord Sugar wrote: “@realDonaldTrump it is with regret You're Fired!”

The tweet proved popular, and so far it has over 100,000 likes and thousands of retweets.
Trump and Sugar have clashed several times in the past, particularly on Twitter.
Way back in 2012 Sugar told Trump to stay out of British politics when he criticised George Osbourne for putting the UK in debt to fund “garbage wind turbines” in Scotland.
The exchange became heated when their mutual frenemy Piers Morgan suggested Trump fire Sugar from the UK Apprentice for “impertinence”.
They clashed again the following year over an argument over who had more money, with Trump saying: “Sugar is nowhere near being a billionaire - and I know, he works for me!”

This prompted Sugar to brand Trump an “ignorant ego crazed liar”.
In an appearance on Good Morning Britain in 2016, Sugar told Morgan and co-host Susanna Reid that Trump “constantly talks rubbish” and has “nothing to do with the Apprentice”.
