Lorde muppet goes under the hammer for charity

What greater honour could a pop star receive than having a custom muppet made in their likeness? Well, that's something Lorde can now tick off her list of lifetime ambitions...

The 17-year-old pop sensation has been re-imagined in bright felt by The Muppets Studios team behind Kermit and the gang to help raise money for a charity.

And it seems like it's done exactly that, with Lorde's fuzzy doppelganger selling for £1,875 in an auction on the Trade Me website to raise money for children's healthcare charity the Starship Foundation.

The one-of-a-kind muppet is 33 centimetres tall, made from orange felt with a big blue nose, and features the Royals singer's trademark wild hair and heavy eye shadow.

It might not be able to sing, but we bet whoever bought this unique collectable will still manage to get hours of fun out of it!
