Love Again's Sam Heughan praises Celine Dion's acting debut
Love Again star Sam Heughan has praised Celine Dion for her debut acting performance in the rom-com.
The film, which also stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, sees the Canadian singer play a fictionalised version of herself in which she helps Heughan’s Rob mend his relationship with Mira (Chopra Jonas).
In an exclusive interview with Digital Spy, Heughan commended Dion for her work in the film, which was directed by James C Strouse.

“Isn't she wonderful? She's just such an incredible person. I think she should have been in a movie, but I'm glad she saved herself for us and she's created five new original tracks for us,” he said. "Just her voice as soon as she starts singing, it just captures you. And yeah, she's just an incredible, incredible person.
“[She’s] funny as well, which is really not surprising, because she's such a professional, but she's so good. She has her own personal, incredible love story and I think she's just the perfect fit for this. She's such a down-to-earth person and I think she comes across that way.
"She's got such a big heart. We've all been desperate for some more Celine, right? We've been waiting and now finally we get to kind of celebrate her and we celebrate her music. So yeah, if you're a big Celine fan, I think go and go and watch this movie. You're not going to be disappointed,” he teased.

Chopra Jonas, who can also be seen in Amazon Prime Video’s Citadel, recently spoke about the filming process for Love Again, recalling a peculiar scene with husband Nick Jonas.
“It was fun because we shot this movie in 2020 and the scene was written as is, and there was a random actor that was going to be cast and he was going to lick my face,” she said. “I am very grateful. It was familiar. So Nick really took one for the team. I was really grateful that he was there.”
Love Again is out now in US cinemas and is released in UK cinemas on May 10.
