“Love Is Blind” season 6's Matthew explains why he didn't attend reunion and reveals new girlfriend

He also claims producers "tried encouraging" him to drink even though he's sober.

Love Is Blind season 6 cast member Matthew Duliba is finally breaking his silence about his experience in the pods, as well as why he didn't attend the reunion.

Over the weekend, Matthew hosted a Q&A on Instagram where he answered fan questions about Love Is Blind and his life after going on the show. When someone asked why he didn't want to go to the reunion, he wrote, "Not going back into a situation where they maintain editing control." He later added, "I didn't think they could cut and paste sentences, if I would've known that, I wouldn't have done [the show]."

Matthew, who was shown courting both AD and Amber in the pods during season 6, also revealed that he is not currently single, sharing a photo of his new girlfriend. "This is Vanesa, my gf," he wrote. "This picture was taken the same day as the reunion. We went to the Charlotte FC soccer game with friends."

In the Q&A, Matthew said that he actually did talk to the other male cast members during the show despite each one EW spoke with saying they heard very little from him. "I was basically the dad of the experience," he wrote. "I got yelled by a producer for encouraging the guys to be careful with drinking and some of the commentary. The dates used up a lot of my communication energy I had. I wish all the guys well."

When asked if production didn't like that he was sober, he claimed that "they tried encouraging me to drink, even though I told them I don't." (Reps for Kinetic Content, the production company behind Love Is Blind, did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment.)

He also replied with a simple "nah" when asked if he thinks he did anything wrong by feeding both AD and Amber the same lines in the pods.

AD revealed at the reunion that she went on two dates with Matthew after filming ended. She explained that he wanted to go on the first date to apologize for his pod behavior, and then he cooked her dinner during a second date. But things soon fizzled again.

As for what he wishes would have been shown more on Love Is Blind, Matthew wrote simply, "My abundance of rizz."
