Kellan Lutz is the latest star to be linked to a role in The Expendables 3.
The Twilight actor is in "early talks" about taking up a role in the third instalment of Sylvester Stallone's action franchise, reported The Wrap.
The part Kellan is up for hasn't been announced.
It is not clear which of the original stars will return for the new movie, although Sly, Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke and Jet Li are all thought to be coming back. And there have been reports that Jackie Chan, Milla Jovovich and Wesley Snipes are in talks about parts.
The Wrap reported that Expendables 3 will introduce "a younger group of tech-savvy action heroes who initially clash with the older crew".
The film is expected to start shooting this year, for a possible release in 2014.
Kellan, 28, has lined up several projects since his role as vampire Emmett Cullen in the Twilight movies. His upcoming films include Tarzan, Hercules 3D and action drama Java Heat.
