‘Maggie’ Trailer: Schwarzenegger Is Out To Save His Kid From Zombiedom

Here’s the first trailer for Maggie, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger in a quite un-Ahneld-like role. So the zombie virus has landed, and the erstwhile Governator’s daughter gets it. But she isn’t a full-blown undeadster yet. The doctor lets him take her from the hospital, but with a warning: When she starts showing signs of aggression and hunger — and she will — get her to quarantine immediately. But our hero doesn’t necessarily play by the rules. I mean, it’s his kid!

Abigail Breslin is anything but Little Miss Sunshine in this unusual take on the popular zombie-apocalypse thing. Henry Hobson is directing from the Black List script by John Scott 3. Bill Johnson, Ara Keshishian and Trevor Kaufman produced alongside Colin Bates, Joey Tufaro, Pierre-Ange Le Pogam, Matthew Baer and Schwarzenegger. Claudia Blumhuber and Jim Seibel are exec producers. Lionsgate acquired Maggie in late August — in a pre-emptive deal that knocked the pic out of the Toronto premieres lineup — and will release it with Roadside Attractions on May 8, after a premiere at Tribeca in April. Have a go at the trailer, and tell us what you think.
