Man shares creepy encounter with intruder at work: 'There's no where to hide'

Working the night shift at work is pretty creepy as it is, but this man had a truly terrifying experience while on the clock.

TikTok user matthall36 recorded footage of what he said was an intruder outside his workplace late one night — and shared the video with his followers.

He opened the video with a disclaimer that said, “ignore me talking so much I was on the phone with 911.” Right off the bat, you know it’s going to be serious.

Matthall36’s hands shook as he recorded live footage from the security camera outside his workplace. He explained to the 911 operator that a mysterious figure was dragging a bag outside.

Just as he said that he couldn’t see the person’s face, the person took off running down to his door. Then there was a loud banging at the door, and matthall36 screamed.

“Oh my f****** God, he’s outside the door,” matthall36 said in an exasperated tone after panning the camera to the door. “No, there’s nowhere to hide here, it’s just this one room. The door was locked.”

He then pointed his camera back at the security footage, where the intruder could be seen standing behind the building.

The video ends on a massive cliffhanger, but thankfully matthall36 was safe and happy to share more details in a follow-up post.

He said that after he stopped recording, the intruder ran out of the sight of the security camera, and he never saw him again.

When the police came, they told him to stay inside and searched for the intruder, but they couldn’t find him.

“They said inside his bag just had a bunch of clothes, but some of the clothes had blood on them I guess,” matthall36 said in a surprisingly calm manner. “They’re going to take that in for investigation.”

Commenters had a lot to say about the update.

“We’re just gonna act like blood on the clothes is all casual???” one user wrote.

“OMG I thought it was a dead body … thank god it’s not,” another said.

That’s all we know about the saga for now. Hopefully, matthall36 won’t have to work the night shift alone again until the intruder has been found.
