Margot Robbie Ate An Entire Birthday Cake Before Suicide Squad Strip Scene

Rather than avoiding food and keeping in shape ahead of a scene in ‘Suicide Squad’ that saw her character Harley Quinn strip and change into her costume for the first time, Margot Robbie has admitted that she instead ate an entire birthday cake.

The Australian actress made this revelation during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday night, where she was quizzed about her impending birthday, which is actually on July 2.

After revealing that she partied 24 hours straight for her 24th birthday, she admitted that for her 25th she was unable to party so excessively because she was actually on set for ‘Suicide Squad’. This then led Robbie to tell her sordid tale of gluttony.

“The scene we were shooting that day was the scene where I’m like getting dressed into my Harley costume, so I was really worried about like, you now, having to take your top on and off in the scene,” Robbie admitted.

At lunch ‘Suicide Squad’s’ cast and crew surprised Margot Robbie with a huge cake, which she then vowed not to eat until the scantily clad scene had been shot. But then the trials and tribulations of filming kept pushing it back.

“So I wait and they keep pushing this scene until it got to like 6pm at night and I was like, ‘You know what, this scene is not happening today, I’m just going to eat this whole damn cake right now.’ “

Sod’s law meant that immediately after consuming the cake Margot Robbie got the call to go on set, which provoked her to think “they can see the whole cake in my stomach, oh my God.” You can check out Margot Robbie’s full interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live by clicking below.

You’ll be able to try and spot a glimpse of Margot Robbie’s cake-belly when ‘Suicide Squad’ is released on August 5. I’m guessing she’ll be fine.
