Martin Freeman lands next lead movie role in Wales-set comedy
Martin Freeman has landed his next lead film role, joining the cast for Wales-set comedy Let’s Love.
As per Deadline, Let’s Love will follow a quartet of film industry professionals as they reunite for the 10-year anniversary of their hit film, only to find that their studio representative had booked the wrong date.
“Full of disappointment, and with the weekend now all to themselves, they’re given a slim consolation prize… an opportunity to pitch a sequel idea early the next week, which leaves them with just days to conjure some inspiration for a career saving follow up,” reads the logline.

“In search of inspiration, they wander the Welsh countryside, unintentionally migrating back to the location of their cult historic film, where they are forced to explore their own anxieties, aspirations, agendas and fractured relationships.”
Freeman, who will play screenwriter Nigel, will be joined in the film by Malin Akerman as director Andrea, Josh Hutcherson as lead actor Jackson and Jess Weixler as Jackson's on-screen partner Jess.
Craig Roberts, best known for his role in Submarine, is also part of the cast, with Jamie Adams serving as screenwriter and director. There will also be contributions from the cast, with the dialogue set to be improvised.
The Responder star Freeman said: “Working with Jamie Adams on Let’s Love is truly a joy. I would happily do it all over again, no problem. We couldn’t have been luckier than with the cast we got together, either.”
