Watch: Martin Scorsese's back catalogue brought to life in stunning animated filmography (exclusive)


Master filmmaker Martin Scorsese’s stunning new film ‘Silence’, starring Andrew Garfield and Liam Neeson, is in cinemas now and to celebrate the BFI is hosting a huge Scorsese retrospective at BFI Southbank.

The season, on now, will revisit Martin Scorsese’s stunning back catalogue on the big screen – including 4K restorations of ‘Goodfellas’ and ‘Taxi Driver’ that will also play nationwide – as well as showcasing Scorsese-curated screenings of restored classics. The whole event now has a stunning animated filmography featuring beautiful new artwork of some of his greatest films which you can watch in full above, exclusively on Yahoo.

Here’s the full ‘Silence’ synopsis: Martin Scorsese’s ‘Silence’ tells the story of two Christian missionaries (Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver) who face the ultimate test of faith when they travel to Japan in search of their missing mentor (Liam Neeson) — at a time when Christianity was outlawed and their presence forbidden. The celebrated director’s 28-year journey to bring Shusaku Endo’s 1966 acclaimed novel to life is in cinemas on.
