Marvel boss is cool with Josh Brolin's movie-hopping
We can't see Thanos or Cable sweating much about anything – but at least they're both safe in the knowledge that Marvel's main man has no problem with Josh Brolin leapfrogging between the two roles.
In a recent interview, Marvel president Kevin Feige said he's totally cool about Brolin playing both Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy and the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, as well as Cable in the yet-to-shoot Deadpool 2.
Given the reputation of both these big bads, that's probably a very wise move on his part.
"We don't have anything written into our contracts about other roles that people can do," Feige told Deadline.
"Indiana Jones and Han Solo are the same person… it hasn't been a problem. And I think Thanos and Cable are two very different characters."
Brolin was recently cast as Cable in an alleged four-movie deal with 20th Century Fox.
We'll first see him play the time-travelling mutant assassin in Deadpool 2 – which Ryan Reynolds was none too happy about...
The fuck, Fox! You can't play 2 characters in the same universe!! Josh Brolin was in Sicario and I was in Sabrina The Teenage Witch. pic.twitter.com/AQCRp1aWKg

Nonetheless, it's a good job Brolin and Feige are all fine – since the Marvel boss recently acknowledged that the MCU has struggled with its villains in the past, and will be tackling that by making Thanos "the main character" of Infinity War.
Brolin will reunite with his Guardians co-stars Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt and Karen Gillan for the movie in which he will potentially be carrying the whole MCU on his shoulders.
At least they're pretty broad though, right?
Avengers: Infinity War will be released in the UK on April 27, 2018 and in the US on May 4, 2018.
