Kevin Feige has promised Marvel will be "less cagey" about the MCU after Avengers 4.

In a recent interview, the Marvel boss - in a thoroughly roundabout way - explained the decision to once again pass on Comic-Con, while also teasing exciting ways in which the post-Avengers 4 future of the MCU will unfold.

"Marketing's coming up with all sorts of things," Feige told comicbook.com.

"How to debut [those plans], how to debut Captain Marvel, lots of opportunities for fun, exciting stuff coming up. And after Avengers 4, being less cagey about it."

So, what's next for the MCU?

Well, following the release of Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Deadpool 2 earlier this year, next month marks the release of Ant-Man and The Wasp in the US, which - it has now been confirmed - directly connects to Avengers 4.

Avengers 4 will be the last film in the current phase of the MCU before things are well and truly shaken up.

However, we can be assured some of our current Marvel faves will live on, as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will actually be one of the first films to be released after Marvel's major reboot.

Feige added: "The plan going forward is gonna be about making great film, as good a film as we can, one after another.

"How they connect, how they build up, it all goes back to the comics. Comics has done a good job. Infinity War was just one mega event in the comics in the history of mega events. So, who knows."

Ant-Man and the Wasp is released in UK cinemas on August 3, and opens in the US on July 6.
