Tony Stark himself – aka Robert Downey Jr – headed to London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital yesterday, meeting eager young fans on the cancer ward.

In town ahead of the premiere of ‘Captain America: Civil War’, the Marvel star spent the afternoon with kids and their families, handing out some goodies too.

Lee Miller, father of seven-year-old Ethan Miller, who suffers the rare blood disease ITP, said: “Ethan has been in and out of hospital a lot in the past three years. He watches the films all the time and virtually lives in his Iron Man costume.

“Ethan was over the moon to meet his hero and it has really helped to lift his spirits.”

Ethan got to pose with Downey Jr outside the hospital’s chapel, which is obviously pretty cool.

He was also snapped with one-year-old Charlie Dawson from Southend-On-Sea, who had busted out his Batman outfit for the occasion.

Disney has raised and donated more than £10 million for the hospital and its charity since 2008.

Downey Jr was also at the hospital last year, where he presented Alex Pring, who was born with a partially developed right arm, with a bionic Iron Man arm.
