Daniel Kaluuya's career has gone from strength to strength particularly since he played the role of W'Kabi in Marvel film Black Panther.

Kaluuya recently spoke to Tom Holland on Variety's Actors on Actors series – they both spoke about their experiences playing superheroes on screen.

Asking Kaluuya about Black Panther, Holland said: "My question for Black Panther is when you were making that film, you must have been aware that you guys were sitting on one of the biggest and most culturally enriching blockbuster movies of all time. Or was it a surprise when it came out?"

"I think it’s something that we were aware that was bubbling," Kaluuya responded.

Recalling a specific day on the movie set, Kaluuya said that in between takes of the waterfall scene in Black Panther, the cast and crew would stay on set – he added that in those moments they had drummers on set who would play the beat of Snoop Dogg's Drop It Like It's Hot.

Talking about that moment, Kaluuya explained: "Everyone would go, 'Snoop!' Like, hundreds of people would literally do that, and when I saw that, I was like — yeah, this isn’t going to be quiet. There was just an energy. Everyone was so privileged to be part of this moment. It felt like a moment."

Kaluuya said that creating Black Panther was somewhat difficult as the production was bringing something into the world that didn't exist – he added that there was no blueprint or template for how make the film.

However, it was all worthwhile, Kaluuya explained: "But when people receive it and people take it as their own, and kids and families are going dressed to the cinemas, it makes everything worth it."

Black Panther is available to stream now on Disney+.
