Aladdin's Marwan Kenzari and Community star Gillian Jacobs are set to star opposite one another in the new rom-com Any Other Night.

Set in Berlin, the movie centres on hapless taxi driver Max (Kenzari, who played Jafar in Guy Ritchie's live-action take on the Disney animation) and Maggie (Jacobs), the young woman he picks up one evening.

Soon after he rocks up, Max discovers that Maggie has just been dumped and is now tasked with ferrying all of her possessions across the city in the midst of a transit strike.

What should have been a simple job soon turns into a wild, late night, as the pair open up to one another about their own personal struggles and get up to all kinds of mischief.

Dutch filmmaker Michiel Ten Horn is set to direct, working with a script penned by Patrick Whistler (Cardinal).

"I’m just so happy to be working with Gillian and Marwan on this film," Ten Horn said in a statement (via Variety).

"Gillian has obviously honed such smart, sharp comic timing. Marwan brings an incredible on-camera presence, intense but likeable. This film is a chance to see them both in a new light, something a little different than audiences may expect.
