The series is based on the book 'After Camelot: A Personal History of the Kennedy Family 1968 to the Present’ by J. Randy Taraborrelli.

It will follow on from the 2011 mini-series 'The Kennedys’, with Perry joining the cast following his stint in London’s West End, where he appeared in The End Of Longing at the Playhouse Theatre.

Where the first series concluded with the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy and his brother Bobby, the new series picks up in the years following the White House.

It follows Jackie Kennedy as she meets and marries the Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis, with British 'Peaky Blinders’ star Alexander Siddig in the role.
