Matthew Vaughn set to produce 'Fantastic Four' reboot

Mark Millar, the comic book writer who has been hired as a consultant by Twentieth Century Fox on the studio's upcoming Marvel Comics adaptations has revealed on Twitter that 'Kick-Ass' director Matthew Vaughn is set to produce the forthcoming Fantastic Four re-launch.


The film is due to directed by 28-year old Josh Trank.

On Friday Millar's Twitter feed announced "Just off the phone with Fox and some excellent news -- Matthew Vaughn is producing Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot!"

The Fantastic Four movie, set to be released in Spring 2015 is speculated to be part of a larger plan by Fox to create crossover movies similar to last year's 'Avengers Assemble.'

Vaughn who directed 'X-Men: First Class' is also producing the forthcoming 'X-Men Days Of Future Past' and its thought that his experience with Marvel Comics films will add to the cohesion of the various Marvel projects underway.

Josh Trank was the writer/director of 'last year's teenage superhero hit 'Chronicle'.
