The cast of Mean Girls have reunited to encourage fans to vote.

Coinciding with 'Mean Girls Day' on October 3, a number of cast members reunited to promote voter activation in the forthcoming US election.

Tina Fey, Amanda Seyfried, Rachel McAdams, Lindsay Lohan, Lizzy Caplan, Jonathan Bennett, Lacey Chabert, Rajiv Surendra, Daniel Franzese, Tim Meadows and Ana Gasteyer all participated in the reunion, which was moderated by Katie Couric.

During the reunion, Lindsay Lohan revealed she initially wanted to play the part of Regina George (Rachel McAdams), before reading the script and re-considering.

Amanda Seyfried also confessed she could weirdly relate to Karen's seeming stupidity, while Rachel McAdams revealed she would stuff her clothes with tissue paper and other items to document Regina George's weight gain.

Following the news that Tina Fey will be turning the Mean Girls musical back into another movie, the writer revealed fans can share their dream cast for the project on the film's official website.
