Meet the woman playing Paddington Bear

Mystery actress spotted playing iconic family friend in surreal on-set images.

A set of creepy snaps from the set of family adaptation ‘Paddington’ have revealed a mystery actress behind the titular marmalade-loving bear.

The unknown (and unhappy looking) woman was caught on camera wearing the character’s iconic duffel coat and red hat, making for a slightly bizarre viewing.

More terrifying though is the Paddington’s mechanical disembodied head, spotted being carried across the London set.

Although it had previously thought Paddington would be brought to life with CGI, it appears film bosses have opted for a furrier, live-action feel.

Adapted from the classic children’s books written by Michael Bond, the film co-stars Nicole Kidman as a “villainous taxidermist”, new Doctor Peter Capaldi, ‘Downton’ star Hugh Bonneville, and national treasures Julie Walters and Jim Broadbent.

Paddington himself will be voiced by Colin Firth.

‘Paddington’, directed by Paul King, is out in the UK 26 November 2014.
