Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Felt Uncomfortable During Their Reunion With Prince William and Kate Middleton Last Night

  • Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Kate Middleton, and Prince William reunited for the Festival of Remembrance last night.

  • According to their body language, Meghan and Harry were feeling uncomfortable at the event.

The royals have been super busy this weekend making appearances for Remembrance Day—this morning Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton attended a Remembrance Day service, and last night nearly the whole royal family showed up to the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance.

It was the first time that Meghan, Kate, Prince Harry, and Prince William have been seen together since Harry admitted that his feud with William is a real thing. There's also new rumors about their rift, including one from a source who shared, "There’s always been a part of Harry that felt like he was living in his brother’s shadow."

So, naturally, all eyes were on the fab four last night. Kate and Will weren't photographed interacting with Harry and Meghan at the event, but we still called in body-language expert Blanca Cobb to figure out what they were really thinking during the reunion.

Here we have a picture of Meghan and Harry walking into the event, and according to Cobb, neither of them are at ease. "Harry's hand over his stomach is a self-soothing gesture," she says. "It's a go-to for him, and a protective gesture that helps comfort him in stressful situations." As for Meghan, "her hands are in an awkward position, which signals that there's a little bit of unease for her. They’re both showing some discomfort."

This second pic of Meg and Harry shows a lot of the same. "This time Meghan's left hand is over her belly, which again is a subconscious way to protect yourself from perceived anxiety or angst," notes Cobb. And in this photo, Meghan and Harry also show that they're really in sync. "Their stance is very similar from their heads all the way to their feet, and they're almost a mirror image of each other." That shows that the royal couple is "emotionally in sync and on the same wavelength, which is a testament to their relationship—you want to be like someone you like."

And when it comes to how Will and Kate were feeling, this picture shows that "they seemed much more relaxed and happier than Meghan and Harry," says Cobb. "Kate has a much bigger smile than Meghan, and you tend to emote more when you’re happy and relaxed."

Plus, Will and Kate also displayed their strong connection. "In this photo, it appears as though Will is about to touch his wife, which is a great sign and shows the level of comfort between them. Kate is turning her body more towards her husband, which also shows a bond between them." Kate and William being open about their bond "shows that they’re comfortable in the situation as well," says Cobb.

So while we can't say why Will and Kate were so much more comfortable than Meghan and Harry at the event, it's certainly interesting to note, no?
