Met police investigating Kevin Spacey over three new allegations
The Metropolitan Police are looking into three new allegations of sexual assault against Kevin Spacey.
According to the BBC, the allegations were made between February and April this year, relating to incidents in London and Gloucester.
There is said to be two incidents in London, one in Westminster in 1996, and another in Lambeth in 2008, and the third in Gloucester in 2013.
This brings the number of cases facing Spacey in the UK to six, five of them sexual assault allegations and a separate assault allegation.
It comes after more than 30 men have come forward in the UK and the US to accuse the House of Cards star of sexual assault or harassment.
Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp was the first to do so, alleging that Spacey made advances towards him at a party when he was 14.
In a statement Spacey apologised, but said that he had no recollection of the incident in question, and blamed the likely involvement of alcohol.
20 allegations alone have stemmed back to his time as artistic director at the Old Vic in London, with some accusing the theatre of turning a blind eye.
One former employee told The Guardian: “We were all involved in keeping it quiet. I witnessed him groping men many times in all sorts of different situations.”
It follows news that Guy Pearce suggested that he was groped by Spacey in an interview on Australian TV.
Asked about his experience with the actor while working on the movie L.A. Confidential, he said: “Yeah… yeah. Tough one to talk about at the moment. Amazing actor; incredible actor. Mmm. Slightly difficult time with Kevin, yeah.
“He’s a handsy guy. Thankfully I was 29, and not 14.”
Spacey has denied any involvement in the allegations.
