While Cruise and Caine have never technically appeared in a film together they both did star in Austin Powers in Goldmember, though the Top Gun star only had a short cameo at the beginning of the movie.
Caine recently worked with Walliams on a 2021 reimagining of Charles Dickens' Twist while he knows Welch through her artist husband Lincoln Townley who has painted the Zulu actor's portrait.
Walliams shared a number of photos from the party on Instagram along with the caption: "Happy 90th Birthday to the legendary Sir Michael Caine."
Welch also wrote on social media: "Such an honour to be asked by Shakira to say a few words at Sir Michael Caines' 90th birthday!!! He loves a dirty joke and so does @tomcruise it appears!!!! Great night and amazing company."
The Loose Women panellist has previously spoken about her friendship with Caine: "Michael is a complete legend. I was very nervous of him when I first met him, he's a huge fan of my husband's work.
"I became very good friends with Shakira with his wife. We see them as regularly as possible and I adore him - it's my favorite shot in the world when I get papped with Michael Caine because I feel so cool!"
Caine was also pictured leaving the party with the help of a walker which he has used to get around since having back surgery in 2021.
