Michelle Obama, Jill Biden, NBC’s ‘Night Shift’ Talk Veterans Health

First Lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden teamed with NBC and Sony Pictures TV’s “The Night Shift” on Friday to discuss the media’s portrayal of veterans’ health and wellness for an upcoming episode of the show, set to air on May 4.

The discussion was part of the Joining Forces initiative, which was started by Michelle Obama and Jill Biden in 2011 to improve health awareness and resources for veterans.

Joined by “Night Shift” executive producer Gabe Sachs, director Eriq La Salle and cast members Eoin Macken, Jill Flint and Robert Bailey Jr., Michelle Obama and Jill Biden visited the Silver Spring vet center in Maryland. They sat down with medical personnel for a roundtable discussion about “Night Shift’s” depiction of veterans and families.

Michelle Obama and Jill Biden will both appear in the May 4 episode.
