Months after news broke that Mark Wahlberg earned around 1500 times more than Michelle Williams for their work in All The Money In The World and its re-shoots, the actress she spoken out about the ordeal.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, the mother of one explained how she felt when she learnt of the pay discrepancy along with everyone else, via the news.

She told the magazine reading the story made her feel "totally de-valued", though not particularly surprised, "but that also chimes in with pretty much every other experience you’ve had in your workplace, so you just learn to swallow it".

Thankfully, the public response was so overwhelming, and Wahlberg's public move to donate his earnings to the Time's Up campaign so rewarding, she felt it was worth it: "A private humiliation became a public turning point."

The newly-married Williams also explained why she did not negotiate more money for the re-shoots needed to cut-out alleged sexual abuser Kevin Spacey from the film, and include new actor Christopher Plummer.

She explained that it did not occur to think of herself, instead considering one of Spacey's accusers Anthony Rapp. "It wouldn’t have occurred to me to ask for money for the re-shoots. I just wanted to do the right thing on his behalf."

This is the first time Williams has spoken publicly of the personal predicament this entire situation put her in. Back in January, Williams said in a statement about Wahlberg and their shared agent's contributions to the legal defence fund:

Today isn't about me. My fellow actresses stood by me and stood up for me, my activist friends taught me to use my voice, and the most powerful men in charge, they listened and they acted. If we truly envision an equal world, it takes equal effort and sacrifice.

Today is one of the most indelible days of my life because of Mark Wahlberg, WME and a community of women and men who share in this accomplishment. Anthony Rapp, for all the shoulders you stood on, now we stand on yours.
