Mikaela Spielberg, daughter of director Steven, is tearful in mug shot for domestic violence arrest

Mikaela Spielberg, the daughter of filmmaker Steven Spielberg, appeared teary-eyed in the booking photo for her weekend arrest.

The adult film star, 23, was picked up Saturday in Nashville for domestic assault with bodily injury, a misdemeanor, after a fight with her 47-year-old fiancé, Chuck Pankow, Yahoo has confirmed. In her mug shot, her mascara was smudged and her eyes and cheeks were red, apparently from crying.

According to the criminal complaint, on Saturday at about 4 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute between Mikaela and Pankow. They had been drinking at a bar and got into an argument, which escalated when he made a “rude comment” about her. Police said she started “to throw objects at him” and one struck him in his hand, causing a “clear and observable injury.”

While “both parties admitted to a physical dispute,” based on Pankow’s statements and “observable signs of injury” it was determined that she was the “primary aggressor.” Pankow refused to prosecute her, so officers decided to prosecute on the victim's behalf.

Mikaela was arrested and taken to the Hill Detention Center. Someone paid her $1,000 bond and she was released. She’s expected back in court on March 9.

Pankow confirmed to Fox News that Mikaela was arrested amid "a misunderstanding."He also said that "no one is hurt.”

Mikaela has been in the news recently for an interview she gave to The Sun about how she’s pursuing a career as an adult film star. She said she also hopes to become an exotic dancer. She told the tabloid that her parents — the iconic filmmaker and his wife, actress, Kate Capshaw, who adopted her — were aware of her new career path and supportive.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, a source close to Mikaela’s parents said that while they are supportive of her, “Obviously, though, they’re embarrassed by her sudden public admission of entry into the sex worker world.”

In the interview, Mikaela also spoke about suffering years of mental health issues, including anorexia, borderline personality disorder and alcoholism.
