Yahoo Movies Miley Cyrus shines in a sheer Mugler gown on the 2020 MTV VMAs red carpet
Miley Cyrus made a bold fashion statement and lit up the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet in a sheer and sequinned strapless Mugler gown.
The 27-year-old singer, who was attending her first big event since lockdown, wore the strapless dress with matching sheer gloves from Mugler's autumn/winter 2020 collection, and styled her hair into a platinum blonde mullet.
Cyrus shared a picture of her statement look on Instagram and added the caption: "@vmas red carpet moment yasssssss @muglerofficial @vijatm."

The star also performed at the socially distanced ceremony, which took place in various locations across New York, singing her new single 'Midnight Sky', which was reportedly written about her break-up from ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.
During her performance, Cyrus wore a black slinky dress with a high slit, before changing into a camisole top and black underwear, while straddling a giant disco ball - recreating her infamous music video for hit single 'Wrecking Ball'.
The VMAs was the first major awards ceremony to take place in America since the Covid-19 pandemic shut down production in America. The event featured performances staged in audience-less arenas across the city, with celebrities walking a reimagined red carpet - with digitally enhanced backgrounds and social distancing as standard.
Cyrus joined a long list of stars performing at the awards ceremony including Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, and The Weeknd.
Grande - who performed hit collaboration 'Rain on Me' with Lady Gaga - took to social media to thank the event's organisers for being "so diligent in making this such a safe and healthy experience for all of the performers and crew involved". Gaga was the big winner of the night, taking home multiple gongs and performing numerous outfit changes.
