Millie Bobby Brown's hit fantasy movie Damsel is now one of Netflix's biggest movies ever.

Released in March of this year, Damsel sees the Stranger Things star take on the role of Elodie, who agrees to marry a handsome prince only to discover that there is a sinister reason behind his proposal.

According to Netflix's official Top 10 list, the film is now the streamer’s 8th most popular film of all time with 137.2 million total views.

It takes over the spot previously held by Jennifer Lopez's The Mother, which is now in 9th place with 136.4 million views. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery has been moved down from ninth to tenth place with 136.3 million views.

Still firmly in the top spot is Ryan Reynolds' 2021 action film Red Notice, which has an impressive total of 230.9 million views.

"The most gratifying reward about this massive success is to see how Damsel has become an iconic movie for a new generation," Damsel's director, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, said in a statement to Deadline.

"This great recognition is due to the unconditional love and work from an amazing cast and crew, and the thousands of people who made this movie.

"I think worldwide audiences have embraced how Damsel gives a new voice to female heroines, suggesting a new way to conquer power and freedom."

Ahead of the film's release, the filmmaker described Brown - who recently tied the knot with Jake Bongiovi - as "exceptional".

"She understood that this needed to be an extreme survival experience. And in order to make that believable, you have to convey suffering and pain," he said while speaking to Total Film.

"This is a movie about a transformation – about a girl becoming a woman – and you need to really feel the intensity of it. We didn't want to cheat any of that, and that's why we pushed all the limits to make this a huge roller coaster of an experience for the audience."
