Yahoo Movies Mission: Impossible 8 adds Ted Lasso and GoT star Hannah Waddingham
Game of Thrones and Ted Lasso actress Hannah Waddingham will be joining the cast of Mission: Impossible.
The news was confirmed by director Christopher McQuarrie, who shared a snap of the actress in character to his Instagram account. "And Hannah Waddingham…" he captioned the post, alongside the hashtags 'Godspeed' and 'DeadReckoning'.
Waddingham's casting was a huge hit with McQuarrie's followers, who shared their excitement in the comments. "The cast list for these movies is legitimately insane," one person wrote.
"God damn it now I’m going to have to watch this," another added.

While specific details regarding Waddingham's role are still under wraps its thought that she'll appear in Dead Reckoning Part Two, joining Ozark star Janet McTeer and Parks and Recreation's Nick Offerman.
McQuarrie confirmed McTeer and Offerman's involvement in a similar manner, posting images of the actors to his Twitter account.
The first instalment of the spy-action franchise is set to hit cinemas this summer, with the the eighth film to follow a year later. It's also likely to be Cruise's last outing as Ethan Hunt, with Variety reporting that Dead Reckoning Part Two will be the "culmination" of the franchise.

It's a busy couple of months ahead for Waddingham, as she will be hosting Eurovision 2023 alongside Graham Norton, Britain's Got Talent star Alesha Dixon and Ukrainian singer Julia Sanina.
The actress is known for her role as Septa Unella in HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones. She can currently be seen in AppleTV+ show Ted Lasso as Rebecca Welton, winning an Emmy and two Critics Choice awards for her role in the show.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One currently has a scheduled release date of July 14, 2023. Part Two will follow on June 28, 2024.
