Now, much like the post about this “unprofessional” ultrasound technician whose behavior made a mom-to-be physically ill after her appointment, the post is disgusting Redditors around the world.
4 mortgage truths that may surprise you
In the screenshot of the mom’s Facebook post — which has been edited to protect the family’s identity — we see three children lined up for a back-to-school post. “First day of 1st, 4th and 6th grade! How?! 🥺,” the mom’s caption reads.
Upon examination, judging by the inward curving of her arms, it appears the little girl’s body has been digitally altered.
“This woman constantly photoshops her daughter’s body to look like this. she’s E I G H T,” the original poster writes in the title.
According to the original poster, many of the mom’s Facebook friends have called her out for editing the photos — but she “adamantly denies” retouching anything and claims that her daughter “just looks like that.”
“Then she deletes the comments,” the original poster claims.
Since the poster included only an edited screenshot of the mom’s alleged Facebook post, some Redditors have called into question the legitimacy of the story.
However, the poster addressed these concerns by privately communicating with the subreddit’s moderators.
“I’ve messaged the mods here … offering a direct link proving the legitimacy of this post,” the poster explained in a comment. “I am NOT willing to post that publicly so please don’t ask.”
The post has since been locked by the moderators, preventing any new comments from being posted.

“This is the most insane thing I’ve seen on here…”
Prior to becoming locked, nearly 3,000 Redditors shared their disgust in the now-viral thread.
“That poor girl is going to suffer serious childhood trauma, and have mental and body issues as an adult,” one Redditor wrote.
“This is the most insane thing I’ve seen on here,” another user commented.
“Who’s this lady fooling? No one’s arms look like that. I legitimately laughed at the s***** photoshop, TBH,” commented another Redditor.
“This is straight up abuse,” wrote another user.
“Honestly disgusting. What does she hope to gain?” one user asked.
To this, the original poster replied, “I really have no idea. But she’s buying her daughter a one-way ticket to an eating disorder.”
According to a study conducted by the authors of The Confidence Code for Girls, girls’ confidence drops by 30% between the ages of 8 and 14. “Between their tween and teen years, girls’ belief that other people like them falls from 71% to 38% — a 46% drop,” they explained. “More than half of teen girls feel pressure to be perfect. With these kinds of statistics, we can see that girls have trouble embracing who they actually are, rather than who they think people want them to be.”
Considering how damaging social media can be for young people — numerous studies have shown that social media use correlates to increased risks of depression, low self-esteem, loneliness and anxiety in children — it’s important that parents set the example with their own social media behavior.
Because the identity of the mom in question is unknown, she cannot be reached for comment — but hopefully, she’s learned just how harmful her alleged Photoshop habits can be on the psyche of her little girl.
