Pixar are renowned for leaving nods to their history in every one of their movies, and hit prequel ‘Monster’s University’ is no exception.

So let’s find out where they are shall we?

Firstly, take a look at the School of Scaring classroom number.  It’s A113: the former classroom of John Lasseter, Brad Bird, Pete Docter and Andrew Stanton at CalArts (the famous California animation college).

Then there’s the famous Luxo ball, which starred in the studios’ breakthrough short movie ‘Luxo Jr.’, released way back in 1986. It’s on the wall behind Claire Wheeler and Brock Pearson (the president and vice-presdient of the Greek Council) during their introduction to the Scare Games’ first challenge.

And finally the most famous cameo of all, the Planet Pizza truck from ‘Toy Story’. It’s in the driveway of the JOX fraternity house.

‘Monster’s University’ shows how Mike and Sullivan became friends at college, before working at ‘Monster’s inc.’. Billy Crystal and John Goodman are once again on voiceover duties, while Helen Mirren and Sean Hayes join the cast.

‘Monster’s University’ is released in the UK on 12 July. Watch the trailer below.
