Capcom's big screen adaptation of Monster Hunter, starring Resident Evil's Milla Jovovich, has unveiled its first teaser trailer.
The film, which was originally pushed back from September to April 2021, is now optimistically assuring us it'll be "only in theatres" this December.
The plot follows Jovovich's Captain Natalie Artemis and her team of elite soldiers who fall into a portal and enter a strange world filled with deadly monsters. There, they encounter a mysterious Hunter who may be their only chance of finding a way back home.
Although it's just a teaser, we're shown everything we need to know in the 16-second clip as Artemis and her unit go up against a massive sand creature in the desert.
With their weapons seemingly ineffective against the sheer girth of the ginormous monster, we're pretty sure they'll be needing something a little more explosive if they're going to survive.
In the teaser, we also get a glimpse of TI Harris, Meagan Good and Diego Boneta, but there's no sign of Tony Jaa, who is playing the mysterious Hunter
The film is directed and written by Jovovich's filmmaker husband Paul WS Anderson, who worked with her on the Resident Evil movies. He also directed Alien vs Predator, Event Horizon and the 1995's Mortal Kombat.
Monster Hunter is set to arrive in cinemas this December.
