Moretz's Carrie remake delayed

The release of the Carrie remake starring Chloe Moretz and Julianne has been delayed by seven months.

Kimberly Peirce's reboot of the cult seventies horror film Carrie was due for release in March, but will not be released in October, according to movie blog ShockTilYouDrop.com

The reasons for the delay have not been made public, but it is thought it could be to allow time to work on the special effects and post production, and the new release also ties in well with Halloween.

Kick-Ass star Chloe will reprise the role played by Sissy Spacek in the original film, based on Stephen King's book.
