Ariana Grande Tweets Support For Cancer-Beating Grandfather

Ariana Grande championed her grandfather’s defeat over cancer to her 15.7 million Twitter followers.

Her 90-year-old grandfather beat back his malignant cancer and kept the other cancer cells “at bay”, according to Ariana’s tweet on June 6.

“kidneys fully functioning, liver fully functioning, cancer is at bay & the malignant cancer is GONE. my 90 y/o grandpa is a f***ing hero,” she tweeted.

She went on to tweet about his incredible strength to conquer the disease at such a senior age.

“my heart!!... he is an inspiration & a fighter. if he can do THIS at his age...we can conquer anything... keep doing it grandps. we love u!!” she wrote.

“nobody like him. he's got what we all need.. strength, light, courage, fearlessness, humor, humaneness, a bad ass mentality & LOVE for LIFE.”

The Problem singer wrote that she hoped the story of her grandfather’s triumph would inspire her millions of fans to “overcome” their own personal battles.

The Twitter love isn’t the first time she’s paid tribute to her grandfather via social media. Ariana posted a photo of her third tattoo in March that’s inked on the left side of her torso. It reads “belissima” which means “very beautiful” and was the nickname her grandfather gave her growing up.

Ariana will head back on the road soon for an upcoming world tour. She tweeted the news to her throng of fans on June 5.

“Speaking of focusing on something beautiful..... i wanted to tell y'all something this afternoon but i got distracted..” she wrote.

“So... I was gonna say.... I finally signed my damn tour contract. No details yet but i'm just so excited that it's finally happening... had to tell u asap..... I can't wait to come see u all in person.”
