Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has given DC fans the best look yet at his Black Adam superhero suit with a new behind-the-scenes snap.

The wrestler-turned-actor will don the character's iconic black and yellow spandex on screen in 2022 when he finally makes his long-awaited DC film universe debut.

We've been treated to social media teases and glimpses of the costume via concept art at DC FanDome (above), but Johnson's snap of the character from behind gives a better look at the textured, skintight suit in detail.

Johnson's snap also teases "the absolute massive scale and size of our movie. And appropriate destruction."

Black Adam, which introduces Johnson as the nemesis of Zachary Levi's Shazam, also stars Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Sarah Shahi, Quintessa Swindell and Pierce Brosnan. It's in production now in Atlanta, Georgia, and Johnson recently teased of the visual techniques that director Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise) will be using to bring the iconic DC villain to life.

"My skilled make up artist, Bjoern Rehbein is applying tiny white tracking dots to very specific areas of my body (legs included)," Johnson explained on Instagram, "so our Visual Effects team track and compute my muscle fibers intensely activating and moving while BLACK ADAM is raging to seek & destroy his enemies."

It was also recently revealed that Pierce Brosnan's costume as Doctor Fate will be a CGI creation.

The film will introduce the Justice Society of America, an anti-hero counterpart to the Superman-Batman-Wonder Woman led Justice League.

“I have a knack for destroying bullies, but there are some who think I need help,” Johnson said over images of the JSA team during DC FanDome in 2020.

“They call themselves the Justice Society — an organisation that believes in fighting for truth and justice.

“Well I’m going to teach them that the only beliefs I fight for are mine. Welcome to truth, justice and the Black Adam way.”

Black Adam is coming to cinemas in July, 2022.
