Peaky Blinders is one of the most popular television shows of the last decade.

The British gangster drama, which debuted in September, 2013, and revolves around the Shelby crime family in Birmingham in the years after World War I, has proven to be so popular the world over that its creator Steven Knight has been inundated with requests from a variety of celebrities.

“We get a lot of people who get in touch and want to take part,” Knight recently explained to the Guardian. “There’s Brad Pitt. Snoop Dogg. A$AP Rocky, too. I think in series six we will open the door a little to get some celebrity actors in. The main thing is they have to be good. We’ll just get the best actor for the part, as we did with Sam Claflin, who plays [Oswald] Mosley. He’s perfect.”

“I always find it difficult when the audience knows a person from somewhere else and they just drop in. It’s very distracting.”

Luckily for fans of the show, there’s still plenty of time for Knight to figure out how to get Pitt involved in Peaky Blinders.

Because while the fifth season of the show is set to come to end on Sunday September 22, Knight has previously insisted that the show will last for at least six seasons, and will probably even have a seventh, too.

“We are definitely doing [series] six and we will probably do seven,” he told the Birmingham Press Club, via the Independent, back in May, 2018. “We've talked to [lead actor] Cillian Murphy and he's all for it, and the rest of the principal cast are in for it.”
