The cast of The Crown is still working to complete the fourth season during the coronavirus shutdown, sending additional voice work to the post-production team via their phones.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, 99% of filming had already been completed on the latest run of the blockbuster Netflix show before production was forced to halt due to the pandemic.

However, there’s still work to be done and the cast is helping out in the only way they can.

Post-production staff are scouring unused footage to make up for the fact pick-up shots are impossible and actors are sending in voice work from their smartphones.

Sound engineers are then splicing the newly recorded audio into the show.
