Daniel Radcliffe has said that his dream music biopic role would be David Bowie, although he was quick to insist that there aren’t any actual plans for him to appear in such a movie.

Radcliffe was recently asked by Fox News about his previous declaration that he would be “open to doing a music biopic,” before then asking, “If you were to play any artist, who would it be and why?”

I don't know,” was the Harry Potter actor’s original response, before he then gave it a few more seconds thought and added, “That's the thing, if you're talking like dream thing, who would it be fun to play and which songs it would be great to sing, then I suppose it'd be David Bowie. But I'm not actually submitting myself for that.”

But while Radcliffe clearly has a deep love for the iconic singer and musician, who died at the age of 69 in January, 2016, he made sure to note, “I don't think I'd be good, and I certainly think there are people that'd be better. And also, we don't need to make a film about everyone's life.”

The question clearly made Radcliffe think a little deeper about what it would actually be like to play one of his favourite musicians, as he continued, “That's the thing because if it was a musician that I loved as well, there would also be this sort of twin pressure of I don't want to screw up a movie about my favorite musician.”

“So yeah, it's a really good question. I should give some more thought to that. But yeah, maybe something punk or something from the '70s that would require less singing ability on my part. That might be good.”
