Eddie Murphy's Christmas movie confirms Prime Video release date
Eddie Murphy is set to bring the festive cheer this year, by starring in his first-ever holiday film.
The movie legend takes the lead in Candy Cane Lane, which is set to hit Prime Video on December 1, just in time to get the festive feels going.
Alongside Murphy, the film also stars Black-ish actress Tracee Ellis Ross, Good Burger 2's Jillian Bell, and Parks and Recreation's Nick Offerman.

In Candy Cane Lane Murphy stars as Chris, a man on a mission to win his neighbourhood's annual Christmas home decoration contest.
The film's synopsis reads: "After Chris (Murphy) inadvertently makes a deal with a mischievous elf named Pepper (Bell) to better his chances of winning, she casts a magic spell that brings the 12 Days of Christmas to life, and wreaks havoc on the whole town.
"At the risk of ruining the holidays for his family, Chris, his wife Carol (Ross), and their three children must race against the clock to break Pepper's spell, battle deviously magical characters, and save Christmas for everyone."
The film was directed by Reginald Hudlin and produced by Brian Grazer who both previously worked with Murphy on 1992 comedy Boomerang.

The screenplay comes from Kelly Younger who was inspired by his own childhood holiday experiences on Candy Cane Lane in El Segundo, California.
Speaking about the film, Hudlin said: "I can't wait for the world to see Candy Cane Lane. I've wanted to make a Christmas movie my whole life, but I wanted to do something fresh and surprising. Eddie Murphy and this hilarious cast really bring the funny, it's super Christmas-y, and it will hit you right in the feels."
Candy Cane Lane will be released on Prime Video on December 1.
