As Kermit the Frog once observed, “Life is made up of meetings and partings. That is the way of it.” With 98 movies and TV series leaving Netflix UK this June, that's a lot of partings to contemplate, even for us non-amphibious folk.

With all-new Black Mirror, Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical, The Witcher S3, Nimona, and Extraction 2 among the new movies and TV arriving on the streamer in June, the cost of such exciting additions is some real heavy-hitting departures.

On the film front, that means kicking off the month by saying bye bye to The Breakfast Club, Good Will Hunting, Paddington 2, Pulp Fiction, and Scream amongst others, before steeling ourselves to let Martin Scorsese's Hugo go alongside How To Train Your Dragon and Bohemian Rhapsody in the middle of June.

Also dropping off the movie night watchlist are Daniel Radcliffe chiller The Woman in Black, Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret director Kelly Fremon Craig’s excellent coming-of-age dramedy The Edge of Seventeen, and John Singleton’s 1991 classic Boyz n the Hood.

Over on the TV side of things, big boxset losses include all six seasons of Teen Wolf, five series of People Just Do Nothing, and eleven of Shameless too. Originals departing include one-off special Derren Brown: Miracle and Unit 42, both of which are bound for the great streaming sanctuary in the sky (or the cloud, perhaps?).

One final point of note is that, by the time this goes out, Netflix’s exodus of Studio Ghibli movies — My Neighbor Totoro, Laputa Castle in the Sky, Only Yesterday, and others have already left — is well under way.

So if anything from the studio remains on your watchlist and hasn’t yet been removed, then now is the time to get them seen.

With thanks to What’s On Netflix, here’s everything we know is leaving Netflix UK this month…
