Video transcript
ROXY SIMONS: Hi. I'm Roxy from Yahoo UK. And this is my review of The Fall of the House of Usher.
- This time.
ROXY SIMONS: The Fall of the House of Usher is about Roderick Usher. He's a billionaire, whose six children have all died under mysterious circumstances.
- Roderick Usher. Your family, their time has come.
ROXY SIMONS: The series is created by Mike Flanagan. And he's really a master of the horror genre. But he's also really cleverly adapted Edgar Allen Poe's stories for the screen. This series is a little bit of a slow burn. And when we get to learn about some of the deaths, it does begin to feel a bit episodic. But the payoff is worth it.
- Your Honor, the Usher crime family stands stronger and darker than ever before.
ROXY SIMONS: My standout moment is the very shocking moment at the end of episode two. But that's all I'll say.
- I'm afraid you're ringside for my reckoning.
ROXY SIMONS: I'd give this series four out of five, because it's chilling. It's thrilling. And it'll keep you on the edge of your seat.
- Nevermore.
ROXY SIMONS: If you like The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass, and The Raven, then you're going to love The Fall of the House of Usher. The series premiere's on Netflix on the 12th of October. And you can read my review on Yahoo UK.
