Glen Powell has shared that he missed out on a role in the Oscar-winning film Oppenheimer.

The Anyone But You actor was interviewed for the latest edition of GQ where it was revealed that he missed out on the role of Nobel-winning nuclear physicist Ernest Lawrence, the role which would eventually go to Josh Hartnett.

Powell added that he’s still in touch with director Christopher Nolan and has faith that they’ll get to work together on a project soon.

While he may have missed out on working with Nolan, Powell was headed to a meeting with British filmmaker Edgar Wright after his interview.

And we can only assume it went well as last month it was also reported by Variety that he has signed on for Wright's remake of The Running Man in the lead role.

The in-demand Powell has previously revealed he turned down a role in the next Jurassic World movie, where he would have starred opposite Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo.

Explaining his decision, Powell said that being part of the Jurassic Park franchise was something he'd wanted to do his whole life but he couldn't see a place for himself in the movie.

"I'm not doing that movie because I read the script and I immediately was like, my presence in this movie doesn't help it," Powell said. "And the script's great. The movie's going to f**king kill. It's not about that.
