Marvel star Jeremy Renner, Glenn Close and Mila Kunis have also been announced to appear in the upcoming blockbuster.

Details of the film's plot are currently being kept under wraps, but its title has left some fans speculating whether the movie could be connected to the U2 song of the same name.

Wake Up Dead Man is expected to land in cinemas sometime next year, three years on from the previous Knives Out movie.

Ahead of his appearance in Wake Up Dead Man, McCormack was last seen in detective drama The Woman in the Wall, opposite Ruth Wilson. The actor also appeared in Sharon Horgan's popular Apple TV+ series Bad Sisters.

Last year, McCormack starred alongside Emma Thompson in sex comedy Good Luck to You, Leo Grande. The actor later received two BAFTA nominations for his performance, in the Lead Actor and Rising Star categories.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will hit cinemas in 2025. Peaky Blinders is available to stream on BBC iPlayer and Netflix.
