Yahoo Movies Macaulay Culkin says audition for Tarantino's 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood' was 'a disaster'
Macaulay Culkin is a bit out of practice when it comes to auditions, it seems.
The former child star of movies like Home Alone and Uncle Buck was in line for a role in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood.
But he bombed.

Speaking in an interview with Esquire, he admitted: “It was a disaster. I wouldn’t have hired me.
“I'm terrible at auditioning anyway, and this was my first audition in like eight years.”
Who he was up for playing, he doesn't say, but there's speculation that he could have been in line for the cameo role of Steve McQueen, or another role on the TV-show-within-a-movie, Lancer.
The McQueen role, brief as it was, was ultimately taken by British actor Damian Lewis.
But while his brother Kieran is currently riding high on his breakout role in the HBO series Succession, Macaulay, who demanded fees of $5 million a movie before he was a teenager, all but retired from movie making through his 20s and 30s.

However, he's begun to dabble more in recent years, appearing as himself in US comedian Jim Gaffigan's The Jim Gaffigan Show, and last year in web comedy Dollface.
He also appeared in Seth Green's 2019 comedy-drama Changeland.
Sadly, his pizza-themed comedy rock band The Pizza Underground, which covered Velvet Underground songs but with pizza references, split in 2016.
