Matthew McConaughey has had an incredible acting career, ever since his scene-stealing performance in Richard Linklater’s 1993 classic coming of age comedy Dazed And Confused.
Since then, not only has he starred in critically acclaimed films like Contact, EDtv, The Wolf Of Wall Street, and Joe, but throughout the 2000s he was one of the most popular actors in Hollywood, thanks to his roles in romantic comedies like The Wedding Planner, How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, and Fool’s Gold.

It shouldn’t be forgotten that McConaughey picked up the Best Actor accolade at various awards shows for his startling performance in Dallas Buyer’s Club, too, the highlight of which was undoubtedly when he picked up the Best Actor Academy Award.
But it sounds as though McConaughey now has his eyes set on another kind of performance and entertainment. During a recent interview with Maria Menounos on her podcast Better Together, the 51-year-old actor teased that he is interested in joining the WWE.
"I'll say not too much 'cause as you know, can't say too much about these things," McConaughey remarked. "But it is something that interests me."
McConaughey, who is a devoted wrestling fan that has previously been spotted in the virtual audience at WWE events, says that he watches it with his three children, 12-year-old Levi, 10-year-old Vida, and 8-year-old Livingston.
"I love the suspension and disbelief, 'cause my kids and I watch it," he continued. "And they're starting to get that when they go, 'Oh this is fake.' I'm going, 'What are you talking about? No way!' Because I won't give them the wink yet, but they're starting to get that in there, there's a bit of one, ya know? Two of them are like, 'this isn't fake, it's real!' That's so much of the fun of it, is going, 'This is real.’ And it is."
