It’s another busy month on NOW TV and Sky Cinema in June, with loads of exciting new shows and movies to get stuck into as the nation remains at home during the ongoing health crisis.

Highlights for June include Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, The Dead Don’t Die, The Kitchen, Gemini Man, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, First Love and Downton Abbey.

Sky Cinema also invites you to revisit two celebrated Oscar-winning actors, with the Tom Hanks and Will Smith collections, as well as a Star Wars collection that includes Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

In the sequel to Disney’s 2014 adaptation of Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent (Angelina Jolie) returns to celebrate Aurora’s wedding to Prince Philip. Maleficent soon meets Philip’s scheming mother, Queen Ingrith, and is forced to unite with a group of outcasts to protect all the kingdom’s fairies. Also starring Elle Fanning, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Michelle Pfeiffer.

The Dead Don’t Die – 7 June on Sky Cinema and Sky Cinema Pass on NOW TV

This star-studded zombie comedy features Bill Murray, Selena Gomez, Adam Driver and Steve Buscemi as they battle the undead in the formerly quiet town of Centerville.

Annabelle Comes Home – 12 June on Sky Cinema and Sky Cinema Pass on NOW TV

Demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren have trapped Annabelle behind sacred glass and enlisted a priest's holy blessing to keep her secure. However, a night of horror ensues when Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who set their sights on the Warrens' ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends.

The Kitchen – 13 June on Sky Cinema and Sky Cinema Pass on NOW TV

This female-driven mob drama from Andrea Berloff (Straight Outta Compton) stars Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids), Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip) and Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid's Tale) as three 1978 Hell's Kitchen housewives whose mobster husbands are sent to prison by the FBI.

A violent convict (Matthias Schoenaerts) joins an unconventional rehabilitation program involving the training of wild mustangs.

First Love – 17 June on Sky Cinema and Sky Cinema Pass on NOW TV

You can expect lots of blood, gore and severed heads in this unique love story from Takashi Miike (Audition, 13 Assassins, Ichi The Killer). Set in Tokyo, Leo, a young boxer down on his luck meets his ‘first love’ Monica, a call girl and an addict unwittingly caught up in a drug-smuggling scheme. Leo and Monica find themselves pursued throughout the night by a corrupt cop, a yakuza, his nemesis and a female assassin hired by the Chinese Triads.

Will Smith stars as an aging elite hitman who becomes targeted by a cryptic enemy who seems able to predict his every move.

Mr. Jones – 21 June on Sky Cinema and Sky Cinema Pass on NOW TV

Mr. Jones brings to live an extraordinary and powerful story of a real-life Welsh journalist who uncovered Stalin’s genocidal famine in Ukraine, which killed almost 10 million.

HBO’s newest series Betty is a spin-off of 2018 skateboarding drama film, Skate Kitchen. With most of the original cast, the series is about a diverse group of young women who are trying to navigate their lives and focus their groups efforts to stand out in New York’s predominantly male world of skateboarding.
