Following the rainy Gotham funeral scene shot this week in Liverpool, it seems that Robert Pattinson's Bruce Wayne is getting ready for some action.

New shots from the film's set give us a proper look at Batman's utilitarian batsuit and batcycle, as Pattinson's stunt double suits up.

On his arm appear to be dart type weapons, with a gun – or perhaps some kind of taser – strapped to his leg.

Also on the back of his suit is another hefty-looking device, but could also potentially just be a compact umbrella.

It's always raining in Gotham.

We also get a glimpse of what is more than likely Zoe Kravitz's stunt double too – Kravitz playing Selina Kyle in the movie, aka Catwoman.

The shoot is taking place in Liverpool, with a large funeral scene having been shot at St George's Hall in the past couple of days, the grand building doubling for Gotham City Hall.

We've seen Pattinson in his mourning garb, along with Colin Farrell appearing completely transformed as The Penguin.

Also spotted on set were Kravitz's Kyle and John Turturro as Gotham crime boss Carmine Falcone.

However, the shoot is ongoing despite Liverpool being handed the most strict government lockdown as coronavirus infections rise in the city.

Bars, restaurants, gyms, casinos and other public venues have now been shut down in the hope of slowing down a spike in COVID-19 cases.

The movie has already been dogged by the pandemic, shutting down its production in March, and then again this month, after Pattinson tested positive.

The movie is due for release on 4 March, 2022.
