Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters Follow-Up Announced As Supermodel Snowpocalypse

It’s been announced that Paul Feig’s next film will tantalisingly be entitled ‘Supermodel Snowpocalypse’.

As its title rather delightfully suggests, ‘Supermodel Snowpocalypse’ revolves around a group of supermodels that are stranded in a Chilean snowstorm that they perilously try to escape from, but only after partying for a while first.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, It’s based on a true story, while Paramount Pictures acquired the rights to the adaptation after purchasing Mickey Rapkin’s Elle article on the incident, which was entitled, ‘This Drug-Fueled, Multimillion-Dollar Supermodel Snowpocalypse Has Been Fashion’s Best-Kept Secret Since ’77.’

The story seems tremendously ripe for a cinematic adaptation, too. It revolves around two sisters, one of which was just 18-year-old and had just arrived in New York City from the Midwest, as well as a group of models, including Jerry Hall and Maria Hanson, and ad executives that are stranded in a Chilean mountain ski resort after their fur-themed photo-shoot is interrupted by a huge snow-storm.

Rather than being overcome by these conditions, the posse decide to have a huge party alongside the other patrons of the hotel. But after a week with no communication with the outside world, and their only viable exit from a second floor window, they hatch a plan to escape.

Those of you wondering how they exactly did just that, and are willing to ruin the movie to find out, can read the article itself by clicking here.

Paul Feig’s ‘Ghostbusters’ is still in cinemas, where it’s struggling to eclipse its $144 million budget, as it’s so far only amassed $125 million worldwide.
