Shadowhunters cast reunite for new movie
The Shadowhunters crew is reuniting on a new project, as teased in an Instagram post by star Katherine McNamara.
McNamara, who played the role of protagonist Clary Fray on the beloved series, posted a picture with former co-stars Dominic Sherwood (Jace Herondale) and Matthew Daddario (Alec Lightwood).
The trio are holding scripts for a mysterious new movie penned by Daddario and "almost" inspired by true events, as teased on the first page.
Titled Firework, the film is "almost based on a true story", though plot and additional casting details are being kept under wraps for the time being. While Daddario wrote the script, it isn't clear whether he's going to direct the film too.

"Something fire is in the works…" McNamara captioned the picture adding a firework emoji.
Judging by the comment section, some fans hoped for a Shadowhunters reunion after the show was given the axe three seasons in despite a relentless fan campaign, but it seems that's not an option for the time being.
The movie, if inspired by true events, may have very little to do with the Shadow World, but Shadowhunters lovers appear to be excited nonetheless.

"Omg I'm so excited to see you guys together again," was another comment.
"This is amazing; I'm so happy for you guys. It was about time to come up with something," another fan wrote.
Alongside the role of Clary, McNamara is also known for playing Mia Smoak on Arrow and has more recently appeared in Walker: Independence, the gone-too-soon prequel to Jared Padalecki's Walker, whose fourth season will premiere in April.
Firework doesn't have a release date yet.
