Sylvester Stallone's new film Samaritan is set to be released on Amazon Prime Video on 26 August.

In the action film, Stallone plays the titular superhero, who has been in hiding for 20 years since a battle with his rival, Nemesis. Now aging, the Samaritan is being tempted out of retirement by his teenage neighbour to save Granite City.

Of the film, Stallone said: “I love action films that also have heart. I wanted to be involved with Samaritan because this story has many layers that I think people can relate to. It’s something of a morality tale that is also very exciting to watch."
